Were Concealed Weapons Standard Practice for Men During Jesus’ Time?

In Luke 22:47-53, Ever wondered where Peter got that sword from when he chopped off that guy’s ear?

In short, Jesus told him to purchase it…

“But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

– Jesus

Before Jesus was arrested, tried and murdered He told his disciples to sell off their “cloaks” and then use the money to buy for themselves swords (see Luke 22, verses 35 – 38).

So, the million dollar question is, “what?”
