So, I consciously decided the other day that I was going to stop wasting time and my life, and start to “live hard”… “if you are going to live hard, then you are going to get hurt hard sometimes. But in the end, it’s so worth it to have lived hard.”- Carlos Whitaker But then, I stopped and thought, “What is living hard?” I immediately thought about traveling, going around the world, eating great food, but I think you can... Read more

But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Calm Down. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say that too me. What most mean by that is, stop stirring the pot, stop rocking the boat, just let things be as they are. For a while I held in there. i stayed true to my convictions. I refused to stay quiet I put Jesus on blast… But as time went on, I started to think, maybe they’re right. Maybe they have a point. Out of all of these I’d say the one that is a “must have” is “Devotional Classics”… it takes excerpts from guys like C.S. Lewis, Jonathan Edwards, Dallas Willard, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer, to name a few, and turns them into daily devotionals with backgrounds of the author and reflection questions for us readers… so good. You can buy it here. Read more

If I’m being honest one of the most frustrating things for me in life, has been my attempt at hearing God’s voice, seeking his direction, or finding his “will” for me. Should I take this job or that job? Should I move here or there? So many decisions, so many choices, so many directions that one could go, how does one choose? And I’m not talking about small decisions as to where you should eat or which movie you should... Read more

So got this idea from @loswhit! (Worship leader guy, in Nasville) Thought I’d give it a try. This is day one of my road trip. Though I think next time I’ll choose a day where 90% of it is NOT spent driving across country alone. Hope you enjoy! Read more
