If I’m being honest one of the most frustrating things for me in life, has been my attempt at hearing God’s voice, seeking his direction, or finding his “will” for me. Should I take this job or that job? Should I move here or there? So many decisions, so many choices, so many directions that one could go, how does one choose? And I’m not talking about small decisions as to where you should eat or which movie you should… Read more

So got this idea from @loswhit! (Worship leader guy, in Nasville) Thought I’d give it a try. This is day one of my road trip. Though I think next time I’ll choose a day where 90% of it is NOT spent driving across country alone. Hope you enjoy! Read more

So today, I hit the road. I’m driving cross country to eventually wind up in Boston, ma. I’m driving from Huntington Beach and hitting up 6 different cities within however many days it takes… Vegas, Albuquerque, Dallas, Nashville, Baltimore, and ending the trip in Boston.   I don’t know what this trip is going to be for me, I don’t have anything planned for it, I’m just going. I don’t think this is going to be a crazy adventure filled… Read more

Okay so everything in me told me not to post this. But I couldn’t resist. And yes, that’s me on the far left, my friend Kingman in the middle (who is a 6’6” 300 pound bouncer), and John on the right who is former youth pastor current grad school goer… Back story: We took this picture at Disneyland… it was a joke at first, that became a reality. We were making fun of people doing it, then before I knew… Read more

One of the first things I noticed in the bible was that it doesn’t end well for the prophets. From Jeremiah to Zacharia to the most liked prophet John the Baptist who’s head wound up on a platter, this always confused me, men who are following after, abiding to the commands of God, why would things go so epically wrong for them? Abraham Herschel says, “To be a prophet is both a distinction and an affliction.” Meaning be follower of… Read more

About a year and a half ago. I stood in line at the apple store with hundreds of others waiting to purchase an iPhone 4. I was extremely hesitant in buying it because of how much it cost up front and how much it would cost per month. But, to still to this day, I stand by the fact that this iPhone was one of the best, if not the best purchase I’ve ever made. Here’s why: 1. 4 in… Read more

Step 1 Watch Video: Step 2 Read this: 1 Unless the LORD builds the house,    the builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city,    the guards stand watch in vain. 2 In vain you rise early    and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—    for he grants sleep to those he loves. -Psalm 127:1-2 3. Then answer this: When we Hustle. How do we avoid “laboring in vain”? Read more

What do you think were the goals of the apostles and disciples in scripture when preaching? Peter and John when they stood before the Sanhedrin, or Stephen when preaching in the temple, or of course the apostle Paul when taking the Gospel to the many areas of the world… Looking at Peter, John, Stephen, and the words of Paul, we can clearly see their goal was certainly not the expansion of their name. And if it was, they failed. It’s… Read more

I’m back home, things have been insane. Life has not really slowed down since the summer, things just kept going! Which is definitely a good thing. I went out on the road this past week with my friend Andrew, it was awesome. Who knew the suburbs of Northern California could be so fun. I guess the sayings true, “There’s no such thing as boring places only boring people…” Anyways, here’s a little vid Andrew put together from the week. Read more
