I Promise I’m Alive

I Promise I’m Alive January 3, 2012

And I’m really really sorry that I haven’t posted. We’ve been moving and all, and weren’t able to get our internet hooked up until today. I have been feeling extremely bereft and disconnected.

But now we have internet! Hallelujah!

I have spent the last three days working like a dog to get us settled into our new house. (Yes, it is a real house, with real rooms and no one above or below us and a back yard with grass and bugs and a street address that doesn’t require an extra line. Can you tell I’m just a wee bit excited?)

But today we have internet. Today, I have been doing this:

I’ll be back later with a post about my first impressions on Ave Maria. It’s gonna get real, y’all. I’m coming from Sin City to MaryLand, okay? There’s bound to be some sort of culture shock. Also, Charlotte said the funniest thing ever when we circled the ENORMOUS oratory at 5:30 AM, and that story is just begging to be told.

I missed you guys. I hope your collective Christmases are going wonderfully. I also hope that you have all developed utterly disproportionate obsessions with the Pogues like I did last year. I love them so much. Also, it is the perfect music to dance erratically to, for those of us who have dancing non-skills. Give it a try. Here, I’ll help. This is one of my favorites.
