Way to go, Target!
A recent ad from Target showed the most adorable little girl, dressed in a pink dress with leopard tights, playing with an activity cube toy that was on sale. The ad got a lot of attention because not only is the little girl ridiculously cute, she also has Down Syndrome.
Her name is Izzy Bradley. She’s a sweet, fun, energetic 2-year-old who loves playing with her big sisters!
Izzy’s mom Heather heads up a local chapter of the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network in Minnesota. Heather says she really appreciates what Target did with the ad. “I think it really normalizes Down syndrome and helps people see we are really like any other family,” she said, and she hopes other mothers will see the ad and have hope for their child with Down Syndrome.
It can be scary to put your kid in the public eye — but I’m so glad she let Izzy do that photo shoot! It’s breaking down stereotypes and bringing so much positive attention to the blessings of life with a Down Syndrome child. Plus, Izzy is the cutest little model I’ve ever seen!
