TX Governor to President Obama: Want my gun? “Come and Take It”

Beginning his last year in office, President Obama is rolling out a series of gun control measures in the next few days. And no, he’s not proposing bills to Congress or amendments to the Constitution.

Because he can’t play the political game in Washington, he’s probably going to try to put gun control in place through executive actions, just like he’s changed immigration laws, environmental laws, and others.

But one of my favorite governors – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott – has a message for President Obama.

Giving a shout-out to the rallying cry of the Texas Revolution, Gov. Abbott said, “Come and Take It.”

This isn’t the first time he’s tweeted in support of Texans’ Second Amendment rights. Last October, he tweeted his EMBARRASSMENT at Texas being #2 in the nation for new gun purchases… behind California.  He urged his fellow Texans to pick up the pace.

Good for Gov. Abbott! And good for Texas! Law-abiding gun owners are easy targets for big city elitists who don’t understand gun safety and gun protocols and why guns are vital to keeping our communities safe and our citizens responsible.

We can’t just roll over and let them win.  If we do, it is our families and communities who are going to be put at risk.  We have to fight back and protect our 2nd Amendment rights from President Obama and his out of touch friends in Washington.

And Gov. Abbott is leading the way. Thank God for him!
