Down syndrome couple shows love conquers all

This will be your feel-good story of the day.

A video of one of the sweetest moments ever captured has gone viral. It’s of Ashley Greenhalgh receiving a promise ring from her boyfriend Danny Griffiths for her 21st birthday. But what sets this story apart is that both have Down syndrome.

It was a very special day for Ashley because it also marked the day she graduated from high school. The party at their home turned into even more of a celebration when Danny gave his girlfriend of two years a diamond ring he had saved up for and Ashley’s reaction was priceless.

Through the squeals of joy she said, “It’s a ring. I’m going to be married!”

Danny even got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him.

Ashley’s sister, Courtney, explained on Facebook:

Danny and Ashley talk about getting married in the future; while they know that the timing isn’t right just yet, Danny wanted to go out of his way to let my sister know that he will always be there for her.

In a video at Inside Edition, Courtney said Danny is going to continue working so he can save his money to take care of his future bride AND buy her an even nicer ring!

“I just want everybody to be touched by the love story between the two of them,” Courtney said, as the happy couple embraced. “Love truly has no boundaries.”
