3. The giant flop of the all-girl Ghostbusters reboot
Hollywood will never learn. We want to see good movies. That’s it. What we don’t want is political correctness shoved down our throats, and that’s what they gave us when they tried to revive the hilarious Ghostbusters series with an all-female cast. Sure, the cast was filled with funny women so, it should’ve been a hoot. But the promotion of the film was nothing but feminist propaganda and that hurt ticket sales. Plus, it just wasn’t that funny.
In a nutshell: Columbia Pictures needed to make $300 million to break even. They barely cracked $200 million.
