Congratulations to the recently crowned Miss USA!  According to Yahoo! News, she had some tough questions and handled them perfectly:

Newly crowned Miss USA Kara McCullough raised the ire of the Internet with her answer to a question about health care during Sunday night’s pageant.

The 25-year-old former Miss District of Columbia, a physical scientist at the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, according to CNN, was asked during the Las Vegas pageant’s question-and-answer section if “affordable health care for all U.S. citizens is a right or a privilege.”

How did she respond to this loaded question?  With common sense.

“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege,” she said. “As a government employee, I am granted health care, and I see firsthand that for one to have health care, you have to have jobs. So therefore, we need to continue to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunity to have health care as well as jobs to all American citizens worldwide.”

Also, she was asked if she considered herself a feminist, and she said no.  Gasp!  Too bad for the pageant, because they had already described her as one of the smartest contestants they’d ever had… since she’s a scientist at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Seeing the liberals freak out over the fact that she is an indepedent thinker makes me like Miss USA even more!

I hope she doesn’t get discouraged with these comments/tweets etc from people so clearly unplugged from reality.

Stand firm on what you believe in and don’t cave into the liberal media, Miss USA!
