Trump. Women Know “That Guy”

Trump. Women Know “That Guy” June 20, 2016

manHis response to a woman’s charge that his buddy assaulted her begins and ends with defending his buddy.

We know that guy.

He stages a made-for-tv apology reminiscent of an intimate abuser after publicly berating a woman for doing her job.

We know that guy.

He uses and abuses women who are, aren’t, and might someday become his wives.

We know that guy.

He ignores the horrific effects of homophobia, even after it leads to slaughter, and turns the focus on himself.

We know that guy.

He talks about religion and religious practice with the careless attitude of someone who doesn’t care, has never needed it, and remains decidedly uncurious about that which is unfamiliar.

We know that guy.

He’s been married three times … so far … to women each of whom is younger than the one before.

We know that guy.

He mocks women, disabled people, rivals, and anyone else who doesn’t jump on his ego bandwagon.

We know that guy.

He brags about how beautiful the women in his life are as a way of boosting his own image.

We know that guy.

He lies and denies in the face of evidence that his claims are wrong and his knowledge is flawed.

We know that guy.

He made and lost a fortune several times over, blaming others for any losses and taking all the credit for any wins.

We know that guy.

He preys on the insecurities of others as a means to his own personal gains.

We know that guy.

He’s a racist 70-year-old white guy in denial about his lack of relevance in a diverse society.

We know that guy.

He thinks that being treated fairly means that every media outlet has to agree with him.

We know that guy.

Women (and plenty of men) aren’t voting for Donald Trump for one reason:

#WeKnowThatGuy

Though many (many) images of Donald Trump are available for use, #weknowthatguy wants little more than his picture everywhere. So I opted to use the Toilet Sign Male figure via wikimedia commons.
