Earlier today a video was released by The Center For Medical Progress. If you have spent any time on social media then I’m sure have come across it. It has spread like wild fire. The video shows an actor who is engaging with a director at Planned Parenthood, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, in the interest of buying aborted body parts.
Yep you read that right.
Follow the link below with extreme caution. It’s hard to watch.
When I first saw the video I began to weep. I was in disbelief; even though we really shouldn’t be surprised by this organization anymore. Planned Parenthood is an institution of evil and this is the result.
Watching the video, today in particular, had more of impact on me than it usually would have. As I write this my wife is gathering a bag together to take to the hospital because we are expecting our 4th child, Luke. The contrast of differing worldview is staggering to me. One boldly and excitingly proclaims and upholds the institution of life in a culture that dislikes children, while, the other seeks to profit off of a lost society’s selfish desire to do what they want.
Did you know that federal law prohibits the sale of human body parts of aborted babies. The sale of human fetal tissue is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $500k and judgement from God.
How are they getting away with this?
It didn’t take long for Planned Parenthood to respond. Eric Ferraro, VP of Communications released the following statement:
“In health care, patients sometimes want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, treatments and cures for serious diseases. Women at Planned Parenthood who have abortions are no different. At several of our health centers, we help patients who want to donate tissue for scientific research, and we do this just like every other high-quality health care provider does — with full, appropriate consent from patients and under the highest ethical and legal standards. There is no financial benefit for tissue donation for either the patient or Planned Parenthood. In some instances, actual costs, such as the cost to transport tissue to leading research centers, are reimbursed, which is standard across the medical field.
A well-funded group established for the purpose of damaging Planned Parenthood’s mission and services has promoted a heavily edited, secretly recorded videotape that falsely portrays Planned Parenthood’s participation in tissue donation programs that support lifesaving scientific research. Similar false accusations have been put forth by opponents of abortion services for decades. These groups have been widely discredited and their claims fall apart on closer examination, just as they do in this case.”
Oh, there it is. Thanks for clearing that up Planned Parenthood. I was concerned there for a moment. Your entire organization shouldn’t be shut down and imprisoned because it’s not aborted babies you’re selling, it’s just tissue.
Comments and sentiment like this make me think we owe Adolf Hitler an apology.
It’s tissue when you are under a public microscope and crafting some PR kool-aide for the masses. But its heads, livers and arms when you can charge for it. Yeah that makes sense. According to federal law this is illegal. But, I seriously doubt a government, so quick to remove morality from its borders, will care. Our country is full of broken people determined to rip apart the only shreds of decency that remain.
Well it’s a good thing the media is all over this to spread awareness. Oh, wait….nevermind.
The media has a blackout on this story. At least it did as I write this. I was even banned from a news for on Reddit for posting a link to the story. When I asked the moderator what I did wrong I was accused of spamming. Which makes no sense at all. I violated no site rules. I was posting legitimate news story that Planned Parenthood even made a formal press release to.
The good news here is that gospel of Jesus is more powerful and sure than any PR statement, pair of forceps, business man, or country. While anyone with intent can kill only God can bring life. The gospel makes alive what is dead and, it alone, can bring down a wretched institution like Planned Parenthood. In Christ, there remains hope even for Dr. Deborah Nucatola and the others at Planned Parenthood.
It occurs to me that someone reading this may have even had an abortion, in fact statistics say it’s likely. To you I say, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry that you found yourself in a position where the seemingly the only option was to abort. Please know that through repentance and faith in Jesus, the blood on your hands is washed clean. There is forgiveness and restoration in Him who makes all things new. Seek Jesus and you will find healing.
Join me as we pray for repentance and the salvation of those all involved in Planned Parenthood.
This is a great opportunity for the church to respond. Make people aware of what’s happening. Share this article or others that have been posted. Share the video. Contact your congressman. Contact your local officials. Let the government know doing nothing is no longer an option.
Do not be lied to – abortion is murder and, apparently, also a lucrative business.
