How Should We Respond When "Christians" Misrepresent Christ in Public?

I wrote this little article for my church’s newsletter this week concerning Pastor Terry Jones the Qur’an burning controversy that is getting so much media attention.  My concern is not to give this whole debacle more attention than it deserves but to address what Christians should do when “evangelical” crazies misrepresent us.

I will simply say two things:  First, it is telling that people in Kabul are burning effigies of Pastor Jones and folks in Indonesia are rioting and yet more media attention is being given to this silly pastor’s foolish plans.  Secondly, I would simply say that when immature people do immature things for attention, we should not be surprised and we should not give it any attention.
