“One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
– Matthew 4:4
While there may be a lot of anger and division in our world today, we at The Christophers also see an extraordinary amount of goodness waiting to come to life! That goodness is often awakened in people’s hearts by the word of God, as the above quote from the book of Matthew suggests.
For over 70 years, The Christophers have been feeding people’s spirits by sharing stories of God’s light, but we need your help to keep that mission thriving. So on this Giving Tuesday, we ask for your support.
How has your support already made a difference? Consider John Fawley. He heard a “Christopher Closeup” radio interview that inspired him to join a medical mission trip to Northern Uganda, where he saw “the face of Jesus” in the people he served. And while on mission in Ecuador, American high school student Nicole Smith had a transformative experience when she joined in washing the feet of a group of impoverished children. Her beautiful image of these children won our 26th annual high school poster competition, and she plans to use her Christopher prize toward college expenses and future mission work.
The Christophers’ multi-media outreach (print, radio, online, youth contests, awards) provides vital spiritual nourishment to a broad spectrum of people, from servant leaders to those who are searching, suffering, or living on the margins. Father James Keller, M.M., founded The Christophers in 1945 to share the message that each individual has a God-given purpose in life. Christ has called people of faith to join together in spreading His message of hope.
We ask you to become a part of our mission by giving what you can and by requesting our inspirational materials to share with those in your life. You can donate online via our Donation page.
You are a Christopher, a beacon of light to a world in need! When you join with us, you set your light in a place for all to see. And when we work together, we can illuminate the world!
