Today I Turned in My PhD Thesis (I’m Done!)

Today I turned in my Phd thesis.  From here it will be registered and then go on to my two examiners.  The internal examiner is Prof. Francis Watson.  My external examiner is Dr. Simon J. Gathercole.  The official title of my thesis is:

WORSHIP THAT MAKES SENSE: A COGNITIVE AND SOCIO-LITERARY APPROACH TO THE THEOLOGY OF PAUL’S NON-ATONEMENT CULTIC METAPHORS (it has a nice ring to it, no?  Should I have added some more words?)

My viva (verbal defense) will take place sometime in July or August (the earlier the better for me!).

What am I going to do now?

1. Take a nap.

2. Shower (just kidding!)

3. Spend more time with my family (finally!)

4. Work on my paper I will be presenting for the Tyndale Fellowship conference on ethics.

5. Work on my paper for SBL New Orleans.

Oh yeah….and I need to find a job now….
