It wasn’t just to keep your bed pure, but it was also a promise to work to keep your thoughts pure. This might seem like an impossible standard in our lust-fueled, visual world; but it’s a standard worth fighting for. When you mentally undress every woman who walks by, your wife notices. No matter how sly you think you are as you do it, your wife notices. And it hurts her every time.  You can’t love, honor and cherish your wife while you’re simultaneously fantasizing about other women. You just can’t. If you’ll really think about this objectively, you’d have to agree. You would be a better husband if you’d commit to having eyes only for your wife.
