4. You are not treated with respect.
If you are in an environment where you’re devalued or disrespected, get out as fast as you can. In the meantime, don’t sink the the disrespectful level of those around you. Rise above it by continuing to be a person of integrity and giving respect even when it’s not returned. Your employer might have the power to take away some income from you, but nobody has the power to take away your dignity and self-respect unless you allow them to.
