In marriage, secrets are just as dangerous as outright lies. Every day you choose to keep something hidden from your spouse, you’re essentially committing a form of infidelity (“infidelity” really just means “broken trust”). When we value our own privacy at the expense of the sacred vows we made to our spouse, we’re chipping away at the foundation of trust that every strong marriage must be built upon. The moment you send a text message or visit a website you hope you spouse doesn’t find out about, you’re already in very dangerous territory.
