Pat Robertson says he once prayed away a hurricane that was going to hit Virginia Beach. Cindy Jacobs tried to pray away Hurricane Sandy back in 2012. In fact, in every such disaster, there were undoubtedly millions praying for it not to happen. And yet they happened. Hemant has the transcript of Bryan Fischer praying away Hurricane Harvey:

So far we’ve heard from neo-Nazis that the Jews are responsible for bringing down Michael Flynn. But who is really responsible for it? Bryan Fischer says Obama is behind it all. Rick Wiles blames it on ‘Devil-Worshiping, Luciferian, Demon-Possessed Maniacs.’ So basically, Obama too. Fischer first:
This bit of obliviousness is so epic that even a Bryan Fischer Award isn’t enough to convey just how staggering it it. Ted Cruz told a conservative group that the Democrats are about to become “obstructionists at a level we’ve never seen.”
Is there a more ridiculous and dishonest right-wing mantra than the claim that Obama is “giving away the internet”? It’s either a lie or based on complete ignorance, which is why it’s entirely unsurprising that Bryan Fischer continues to repeat it. Ignorance and dishonesty are his most obvious traits.
NPR did a story recently about the Christian right struggling with the question of whether religious liberty applies to Muslims or not. Travis Weber immediately took to the Family Research Council blog to claim that the FRC is in favor of religious liberty for everyone:
The American Conservative is one of the few, perhaps the only, intellectually honest conservative magazines, and several of their columnists are excellent. Matthew Sheffield takes the GOP to task, pointing out that Donald Trump is almost inevitable result of how conservatism has developed over the last few decades.
I could easily make this a Bryan Fischer Award, which goes to those who show a spectacular lack of self-awareness, but I’m not going to. I’m just going to point out this interview, which puts on full display both Trump’s total lack of that trait and his total lack of honesty.
The Christian right in this country has long been divided over Ted Cruz and Donald Trump, but more of them are certainly on Cruz’ side because he is more in line with them religiously. So upon his exit from the Republican presidential race, there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Bryan Fischer:

And he even tops Fischer when it comes to displaying a breathtaking lack of self-awareness.
Christian right leader and megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress has endorsed Donald Trump, but Right Wing Watch notes that in 2012, Jeffress was arguing that Christians could not vote for Mitt Romney because he was Mormon, not Christian. But now he thinks it’s just outrageous that Christian leaders are judging Trump as not Christian enough:
