Right Wing Watch makes an important argument about the lack of response from religious right groups that are forever condemning anything that smacks of sexual immorality in the media. Yet they’ve stayed completely silent as Rush has called a woman a slut and a prostitute and demanded that she make videos of herself having sex for him to masturbate to.
It’s really quite amusing to watch rival candidates try to come up with new ways to attack one another, especially when the race is close and people are getting desperate. Here’s a video clip from the last debate when Romney attacked Santorum for endorsing Arlen Specter:
Rick Perry’s ridiculous “I’m not afraid to say I’m a Christian” ad may be justifiably prompting mockery by intelligent people everywhere, but it’s winning him high praise in wingnut circles. Right Wing Watch reports:
It never ceases to astonish me how much power bigots think The Gay has. In their minds, it’s so incredibly and alluring that we must make the lives of gay people miserable lest their children be tempted to give it a try and risk their mortal souls. Bryan Fischer thinks that men became gay just by seeing that Barney Frank was in Congress:
Came across this amusing statement in Chuck Norris’ latest column, in which he bashes the mainstream media for its alleged liberal bias and expresses his concern about the effect this might have on those who aren’t as well-informed and capable of seeing through it as he is:
The Senate Judiciary Committee unanimously approved the nomination of an openly gay federal judicial nominee this week but religious right activists are still trying to kill his nomination any way they possibly can.
Pat Buchanan brought his bigotry parade to a place where it is warmly welcomed, going on Bryan Fischer’s radio show and agreeing with Fischer’s position that the United States should ban all mosques and all Muslim immigration. Right Wing Watch has the audio and the transcript:

It’s really getting fun watching Herman Cain try to explain what he really by some stupid thing he said. There’s a pattern developing here. He says something that appeals to the wingnuts and then he pretends that he didn’t really mean it and then the wingnuts get mad at him for it. Here he is trying to explain to Piers Morgan what he really meant when he said he wouldn’t let Muslims serve in his administration.
So says uber-idiot Bryan Fischer, using the same old tired and irrational argument we always hear from bigots like him:
Our survival as a civilization, as a culture, depends on protecting the institution of marriage, everything is at risk here: our economic prosperity, our survival, our national security, all of it hinges on our willingness as a culture to protect monogamy and to protect the institution of marriage.
Now if there was some link between letting gay people get married and harming the institution of marriage, he might have a point. But the one who is anti-marriage is him, not us.
