Let’s take another magical mystery tour of the mind of Glenn Beck, who thinks that if only the media “started to tell the truth,” President Obama would have been impeached at the very beginning of his administration back in 2009 when he briefly appointed Van Jones as a special adviser on green jobs.
You gotta hand it to Glenn Beck. First he argues repeatedly that Obama is deliberately trying to raise gas prices as part of his plan to “collapse the system” to impose his environmental dictatorship. Here’s just a small sample of that inane ranting and raving:
It looks like Gloomy Glenn Beck is back again. In response to a caller to his show Friday, he said that he would not have his son join the military because, “We have a chance of losing our country in the next two to three years.” What that has to do with joining the military, I have no idea.
The Worldnetdaily has been relentlessly pimping Jonathan Cahn’s new book about Biblical prophecy and the “shemitah” year and how it all means Something Very Very Important for America. Now Glenn Beck has joined in the fun, pushing this nonsense even more.
Uh oh, cranky Glenn Beck is back. In a bizarre, frothing rant Beck careens between talking about how love can stop the Ebola problem and raging about how the government is “literally going to be the death of all of us.” And this can only be stopped, apparently, by humbling ourselves before God. Or something.
It’s amusing to me to watch Glenn Beck, who is nearly always wrong about virtually everything, pretend to be a prophet and repeatedly declare his predictions to have come true when they didn’t. Now, for example, he’s claiming that he predicted the confirmed Ebola patient in Texas just last week.
While Dinesh D’Souza does a victory lap over not getting any jail time for a felony he admits to committing, his buddy Glenn Beck declares him to be “”the first real political prisoner” of President Obama. Because apparently no one who has ever criticized the president can ever be punished for anything, even for something they admit to doing with full knowledge that it was a crime.
Among all the other bizarre positions Glenn Beck takes, he now appears to be adding a mushy, incoherent anti-vaccine position. He doesn’t come out and say he’s anti-vaccine, just against the “arrogance” of doctors who give them. What do those doctors know? They’ve only eradicated whole diseases with vaccines (until recently, that is). And he literally stands up and applauds parents refusing to vaccinate their kids.
There’s nothing Glenn Beck loves more than finding some utterly irrelevant little piece of symbolic minutiae and blowing it up into a huge deal while everyone around him rolls their eyes (remember his tour of Manhattan to prove that Rockefeller was a communist?). His latest is to throw a fit because Obama didn’t give his address on ISIS from the Oval Office.
I’ve lost track of how many times claims made by Glenn Beck on his radio show have been debunked even by his own website, The Blaze, but it’s a bunch. Here’s yet another example, with Beck claiming that a dozen missing airplanes from the Tripoli airport are proof that all his predictions are coming true and his website pointing out that this is all false.
And yet again we are treated to Glenn Beck all but declaring himself a prophet, saying that everything he has ever predicted has come true and is continuing to come true. This time he’s claiming that Muslim reactionaries in Libya are going to crash planes into the Saudi oil fields.
Glenn Beck has lately been bleating as stupidly about “love” and other words he uses weirdly as he used to bleat about his bizarre conspiracy theories. That has upset some of his sycophants, who wanted him to continue the hellfire and brimstone. And he just can’t understand why they won’t follow him on this new love journey. After all, he’s been right about everything before!
