Sometimes it seems as though Glenn Beck is intellectually bipolar. While he claims that the government is involved in a giant conspiracy in the Boston Marathon bombings, he’s also criticizing the Tsarnaev brothers’ mother for believing in conspiracy theories.
Oh, this one is fun. Glenn Beck told students at the NYU Stern School of Business last Friday that he had to leave Fox News in order to save his soul (Beck never likes to say or do anything that doesn’t contain maximum melodrama and exaggeration of his owner personal character and nobility).
Glenn Beck revealed his promised conspiracy theory about the Boston bombings on Monday. In short, that Saudi national that the FBI cleared was an Al Qaeda operative who recruited the Tsarnaev brothers and the government is covering up that fact to protect Saudi Arabia. And he delivered this hilarious big of false bravado on his show, casting himself as the brave truth teller taking on Satan himself:
Glenn Beck really is hilarious, isn’t he? On his show on Friday he repeated the lie about the Obama administration hurrying to deport the Saudi student who was a victim of the marathon bombing — you’d think the fact that we now know who did it would make them rethink that idiotic conspiracy theory — and he’s issuing a warning to the Obama administration that if they don’t come clean about this non-existent cover up by Monday, he’s going to reveal the truth.
With Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck both saying recently that they really don’t care whether gay marriage becomes a reality, Bryan Fischer is verklempt. He says Beck “has completely lost his marbles.” I don’t think Beck ever had any marbles. Neither has Fischer.
Glenn Beck went on the air shortly after the bombs went off in Boston and immediately declared that it must be Islamic terrorists because American terrorists never target groups of people, only the government. Apparently he’s never heard of the Olympic Park bombing by Eric Robert Rudolph. Or any abortion clinic bombings. Or the targeting of scientists who do research on animals.
Glenn Beck went on one of his classic rants after the Obamas hosted a White House concert honoring the greats of soul music. And they ate cake! They ate cake! That means they’re just like Marie Antoinette and America is headed for a monarchy!
Glenn Beck has been ranting like a lunatic about the new Common Core standards, developed by the National Governor’s Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers (not the federal government). Naturally, this is all a giant conspiracy to brainwash your children and Beck will no longer let his kids go to college because of the many unspoken dangers.
This is a hilarious video clip of Glenn Beck at his famous blackboard, saying that America will soon be ruled by a combination of China and Islam. Oh, and Russia. And the Nazis. And America will become a third-world country. And it’s all about the Common Core education standards.
We’ve seen a lot of battles between wingnuts in the last couple years, but this one is a battle of true heavyweights. Alan Keyes and Glenn Beck have spouted enough crazy during their lifetimes to make the Joker from Batman seem reasonable. And now Keyes is turning on Beck because he’s just not quite crazy enough:
Glenn Beck pulled out one of the tried and true false claims that all religious right con men use, usually when they’ve been caught doing something very wrong (Benny Hinn, Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, etc): I’m under “spiritual attack” by the forces of darkness.
Glenn Beck continues to drive the right wing crazy train. Now he says that President Obama is deliberately trying to start a new civil war. And he says that any state that secedes, Obama will release all the inmates in federal prisons as retaliation. Yep, he actually said that.
