Are the Indian companies coming of age? From the also rans – to now ones that celebrate and harness the leadership and prepare leaders of the future, Indian companies have been a revelation in this year’s "The Top Companies for Leaders 2007" list from Fortune. There are 4 Indian companies in the first 20. The age old HLL, which has arguably the BEST sales training program in the world is #4 in the world with respect to creating leaders (mind you the list does not say Unilevel but Hindustan Unilever – a rare case of a local subsidiary been a benchmark and better than the parent itself!). Apart from the US companies, you have one from Finland, One from Britain, two from Spain, one from Brazil and 4 from India! So, other than US, the next best place to work – if you want to become a leader is India!
