Need nanotechnology for health sector: Kalam

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam on Saturday stressed the need for developing nanotechnology applications in healthcare to manufacture nano-robots for cancer treatment and nano-drug delivery systems for HIV.

“Development of nanotechnology applications in healthcare needs to be utilised to develop nano-robots for cancer cure and nano-drug delivery systems for HIV,” he said speaking at the 25th convocation of SASTRA University at nearby Vallam.

Kalam complimented SASTRA University for its research in frontier areas of nanotechnology and its applications in health care and sensors.
