whew.

whew. December 21, 2008

From last Saturday until yesterday I wrote 5 papers totaling 45 pages & took 3 final exams including one of which was Ancient New Testament Greek.  Let me tell you, there is a reason why there is a popular saying “it’s all Greek to me.”

My splendiferous husband was kind enough to allow me to go to Holland (where my seminary is at) on Tue. and not come home until Fri. night so that I could go to review sessions and focus fully on all that I had to do.  Besides this, the weather was horrible and the roads worse.

After last week, all I can say is, whew.  It was rough, but I find myself thinking all ready about how I can’t wait to go back in January.  I love going to school full time again!  It feels like I’ve got an I.V. hooked up to me injecting knowledge, energy & youth into me on a daily basis.

Last weeks highlight?  On the last night of studying Greek, a few of my new seminary friends M, B & I ran outside in the snow -in less than 10 degree weather- to jump into M’s hot-tub, at about midnight.  We had some wonderful girl talk & besides my ears being frozen it was actually quite a pleasant experience.  You send me to a dutch reformed seminary for one semester & all of a sudden I’m traipsing through the snow in bare feet to go into an outdoor hot-tub in less than 10 degree weather.  What can I say?  I’m becoming reformed! 🙂
