our lil precious handful

Ransom has been cracking me up lately with all his repeating, unintelligable chatter and his sorting of life.  Just a few of his darndest sayings lately…

1.  After he had a bad dream the other night, I told him if he was scared in the middle of the night to call out to Jesus.  I wanted to tell him that Jesus would bring him peace but I know he doesn’t know that word so I said that if he called out to Jesus he would bring him love.  And he said, “yep, Jesus brings love –(pause)–aaaaand big boats.”

2.  Ran loves moving things… if he sees a plane –look it’s moving.  If sees a city bus –look it’s moving.  He loves to see snow blowing off the trees and off our car.  The other day when he said he saw the snow blowing I agreed, “yeah, it is moving & blowing in every direction, wow.”  Today, in the car he said, “look, Mama, the snow is blowing in every erection.”  I had to laugh out loud with that one.

3. A few days ago I took him to daycare in my pajama’s.  He was very perplexed by this but I re-assured him that I would be wearing my coat and know one had to know that I was wearing my pj’s.  It is just around the corner & literally a 2 minute drive.  When we got there the 1st thing he said was, “my mama is wearing her pj’s but no one will know because she has her coat on.”  oh boy.

…and so many more.  I do love this stage although it has forced Dave & I to watch everything that we say in front of him and to spell almost everything… and unfortunately he knows that p-i-z-z-a spells pizza & that w-a-t-c-h-t-v means getting to watch something.
