Over & Out

Over & Out

I could not resist throwing my .2 cents in along with the rest of the entire world chattering about every single detail of the royal wedding.

I wanted to drool all over every little detail of it but with no T.V. at home I simply haven’t had the time to be engaged with the whole thing for the last four days.

It sounds silly (I think) but I wish I could have been.  Ever since I saw the movie, Queen a few years ago, and then The Kings Speech last month I’ve been a bit obsessed with the Royal family…

I’ll make my .2 cents so brief you won’t know what hit you:

  1. Lady Duchess Catherine of Cambridge (is that how you say her new name)? was stunning.  Truly a princess.
  2. Pippa looked FAB as well.
  3. I didn’t get to see any of the ceremony except the 2 minute round-up on People Magazine’s blog & I loved it!  Especially Prince Willy’s cute little British accent. Oh, I just love it all.  I love the British! =)
  4. With all the horrible things happening in the world today -literally today (4/29/11)- it was nice to have something the world “gathered” around to be excited about.  What’s more exciting than royalty?  And from my trusted tweeps, it seems the ceremony itself was very traditional, very beautiful and the Priest gave a great message.  Hurrah!
  5. Prince William grew up.  Last time I saw him he was a little kid grieving for his fallen mother in front of the whole world.  He’s a cutie now, eh?

All done!

So, I’m off.  I’m headed up to a beautiful property InterVarsity owns in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where I’ll be spending a week training students.  It’s always such a wonderful, fun, exhilarating & downright exhausting week of ministry.  This is the 1st year in 5 that I’ll be going sans the hubster & the kiddo’s.

*sigh*

Since I’ll be so far in BFE’s booty, I won’t even have regular Internet access! Crazy, eh?  I’m going to use this 7 day break from blogging to rest my weary little social networking head.

Hope you all have a great week!  I’ll “see you” May 7!  (Unless I simply cannot manage NOT to post something, in which I’ll have to run up to the public library & bum some of their wireless ~ not even kidding)! =)
