After reading an article on Mel Gibbson posted in Faithful Democrats, I had to respond.
It is not a good idea to make negative comments about a Christian over one uncertain incident, without having ample and multiple occurrences that require such a responce. To date, except for an alcohol incident and driving arrest, it is really not clear about the statement Mel made about Jewish people.
I can also say that I am a member through Jesus Christ my Lord in the Jewish religion called Christianity. Having said that, there is also knowledge from the Bible that not all who call themselves a Jew, are a Jew. With that said, it is the consistant fruit produced by a person that I now judge regarding who is a fellow member in this New Covenant family, those spliced into Gods' chosen.
Regarding this family, there is reason and responcibility to make judgment of people such as Henry Kissinger, a Jewish man who some believe produces only good fruit. My fairly extensive research into the life of this man has found him otherwise. Michael Eisner is another, who is a leader in the Disney Corporation. If you wish to know why I say this, my question is why are you asking?
What I am trying to get at is that in fact there are both good and bad Jewish men today in leadership around the world. I have also discovered many important issue's both about Israel today and in Bible prophecy, showing there is much false teaching about the re-gathering today going on in Israel. Israel today has many issue's showing not Gods re-gathering, a gathering that will happen instead after the time of desolation has already begun. Also there are important problems and conditions of present day Israel that show instead a very different happening.
So what did Mel Gibbson actually say, my experience is that you cannot trust anything posted by and in American Media. In fact the stories now going around about Gibbson are typical of present day propaganda or entertainment presented by US Media. It is a fact you are more likely to be misinformed than given truth.
My warning is that Christians become better informed before they make judgments, the Bible advises that mature Christians are to make many important judgments. Today if anything the church leaders in America are failing drastically in this Chriatian duty, perhaps they find church tax-deferment's a greater treasure.
Also do not become yoked with either GOP or DEM political parties, the one makes good promises that to date they have not kept, instead have followed doctrine of liars who grow rich off of fear. The other party leadership grow rich in same manner, but espouse decree's of Satan. This does (not) mean we are to be uninformed and inactive in political affairs.
In truth as an older person, I have seen both (secular) political parties hijacked, and the fruit produced shows a bipartisan leadership who evidence much corruption and evil. This I can truthfully say after much research into US (Government and Corporate) whoredom.
So, follow the command of Christ, 'become as wise as the serpent' as you remain as innocent as doves. This entails or requires becoming adequately informed, and then finding your predestined works of righteousness.
