Pilgrim’s Progressive Christianity

I am adding my voice to the "blog-alogue" because our progressive Christian witness is still so misrepresented in the media, the popular commentary of our day and even by other folks who also carry the label of "Christians."

"Faithful Democrats" is one of the first blogs (after Sojourners' sojo.net) that has offered me hope that there are others who are also willing to speak: to name dishonesty, injustice and oppression wherever it occurs, regardless of the political affiliation of the offender. Our entire system of governance is in crisis because of the pervasiveness of the lies and the constant manipulation of our emotions — and particularly our fears — often at the expense of the truth.

I am one pilgrim. There is a beautiful song that begins with a solo voice that says, "I am one voice but I am singing."

I listen for other voices to join in harmony.
