I used to wonder what gave people the right to impose their views upon myself and others. Today, I understand it. It's all about being right.
I used to wonder what gave people the right to impose their views upon myself and others. Today, I understand it. It's all about being right.
And that is what is wrong with our political situation today. Bush wants to be right. Congress want to be right. The Conservatives want to be right. The Liberals want to be right.
How about the American people? I believe in over 200 years, we have usually gotten it right.
In 1776, men from very different backgrounds and philosophies came together for the good of this fledgeling republic. I wonder where we would be today, if one side had to be right about everything.
In 2001, after 9/11, people all over the world came together in defiance over an attocity. But it didn't take long before all the good will was squandered over who was right about Iraq.
Bush and his administration project an attitude that they are right, that they know best. But in the past 7 years, they have proven themselves to be WRONG again and again.
When do we say enough is enough!
We have some serious problems to deal with. They won't get solved as long as we continue to argue over who is right.
Our forefathers went out of their way to craft a constitution that was inclusive of all points of view. Our President and his administration doesn't appear to think that way.
I find it fascinating that the hate mongers constantly criticized President Clinton for making policies according to the will of the American people.. Today these same people appear to think that the will of the American people doesn't matter because they have decided THEY ARE RIGHT AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE WRONG!
