Oprah Winfrey is getting nasty messages on her website because she happens to be inspired by another African American? I'm inspired for the first time by a presidential candidate, but I'm Caucasian, so that must be ok.
I don't think gender is a reason for voting for someone, but you don't see me getting angry at Barbara Streisand. It's understandable her being frustrated and wanting to see a woman president. Is Tim Robbins not able to support John Edwards because they are both Caucasian? How about Sean Penn and Dennis Kucinich? What Barack Obama is going through is beyond my ability to articulate. Barack had his kindergarten papers gone through, lies about being a Muslim, trying to claim he dealt drugs, and claiming his celebrity endorser is doing it for race. Barack is not even black. I've never met a “black man" in my life. I've never met a "white man" in my life. I've certainly never met anyone who deserved the pure negative connotation that goes along with being called "black" and I've never met any Caucasian person who deserved the connotation of purity that goes along with being called “white".
