Same lies as before

Once again, the Bushies are using Doublespeak to disguise the truth.  They are using fear to justify their actions.  These are the same tactics as Al Qaeda. 

Anyone following closely the nuclear stand off with Iran can tell you plainly as the nose on your face…..the Bushies are at it again.  They are in the process of creating a situation to justify their illegal actions.   There is no evidence that Iran is developing Nuclear weapons.  The IAEA has certified this to be the truth.  Why should we listen to the IAEA versus the Bushies?  Because since Bush took over the white house, the IAEA has been correct and the Bushies have been wrong. 

Anyone who has been following the nuclear standoff closely can also affirm these words.  However, the Bushies use America's ignorance against us.  Americans are too busy to pay close attention to what it really going on in other parts of the world.  Americans are too angry and/or too disenfranchised with their government to really care about what is happening in their country right before their eyes.   

The Bushies have used the fear element ever since 9/11 to captivate these ignorant Americans.  Fear is not what the Bible teaches though.    In fact, FEAR is the tactic used by terrorists. 

Now they are using America's ignorance of the reality in Iran, as well as the prejudice against the President of Iran, to spread their own vicious agenda of lies about Iran to create another atmosphere of FEAR to use to justify expansion of their various illegal actions.  They will stop at nothing to further their goals.  Their time is running out.  It's NOW OR NEVER!!!

As Christians, no matter the consequences, it is our duty to stand up and speak the truth.  We speak it not out of hate or of fear.  We speak it because our Lord commanded we speak it.  We speak it because we follow the example of our Lord who stood up to the money changers, who stood up to the religious figures, who stood up to the Roman government and spoke the truth even to the forfeiture of his own life.  

I heard Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto say the following in a recent interview: "I have a choice.  I can keep silent or stand up and say this is wrong!"  Many people across our planet are finding the courage of their beliefs to stand up and put their lives on the line in saying "THIS IS WRONG!"   Today, it is our turn as Christians and as Americans it is our turn to stand up and say "THIS IS WRONG!" 

How do we do this? We do it by paying attention.  We don't settle for the propaganda of the Main Stream Media which is today become just another agent for the government to spread their venomous lies disguised as the truth.  We vote no matter how insignificant the issue is.   We participate any way we can whether it is marching in the streets or writing letters to our Senators and Congressman.  We change what we do not like about our government.  America is supposed to be a Republic of the people, by the people and for the people, NOT OF THE RICH, BY THE RICH AND FOR THE RICH!  Our society today has become not much different than the times when Jesus walked the earth in terms of the power and position of the rich, the well known, and the religious, despite the advantages and the advanced knowledge we possess today.

We stand at a cross roads.  Perhaps this is one of the most important moments in our country's future.  We have a choice to make.  Which way do we go?  Do we go down the path of fear again?  Do we allow FEAR, the tactic of terrorists, to dictate the future of our great country?  Or do we stand upon our faith and rise up in the spirit of our Lord…peace, hope and faith?  Do we elect leaders who will listen to and act upon the will of the people? Or do we elect people to act as parents – legislating our blood stained Bill of Rights away, right before our eyes?  Do we follow what our heart and our gut tells us is right and true? Or do we rationalize away the truth in the name of hate, prejudice, and FEAR?  These things are not from my father above.
