I would endorse Huckabee for the religous right.
Of all the canidates, he is honestly the one that I trust most. My criticism of the nominee, is that I think he is somewhat biased against the Koran. However, based on his last Interview with O'reilly, I think he has grown in this regard. When asked the question of whether Christ was God, he suggested, that Christ is the way. In regards to evolution, he suggested that he believed the Universe was created, and that he didn't really know if God worked through evolution or not, and that it is entirely possible. And went on to say, that he cared more that if a person acted like a Christian, than if they proclaimed they were a Christian.
What to me was most important, he did not accuse the Koran of supporting Terrorism. That was a huge step. And that is what impressed me most. He seems like he actually listens, and is willing to abandon his predjudices.
Now back to my biggest criticism, he suggested that either I'm right, or I'm wrong, in regardsd to Christ. If I'm right it's a good thing.
Now, it was a refreshingly honest answer, and I do not disagree, in priciple, however, it was a bit to pragmatic for my taste.
That is all I have to say about that.
For a running mate, I would reccomend Ron Paul. I don't know I would want Paul for President, cause he takes conservatism to the extreme of absolute liberalism, much like Jefferson, endowing all power to the state, in contrast to a strong federal government. However, I see him as almost the mad scientist of of politicians. His innovations would revolutionalize our government, if kept in check, and I think Huckabee could do that. (and in rgards to Paul, I think perhaps the most impressive thing he can say, Is that as a doctor, he has delivered 4000 babies. That says a lot about his character)
Armed with a Democrtic Congress, and a semi-conservative supreme court, This combo could create a perfect synchronicity within the American Govt.
I've already endorsed a Clinton/Obama canidacy.
Either of these combo's form a win/win scenario for the U.S imho…
