Risen, the first of several big-screen Jesus movies coming out this year, will be playing at a theatre near you just three weeks from now — and to whet our appetites, the studio has released several new clips from the film. Check ’em out below the jump.

Six of the clips, totaling over 13 minutes, have been made available via WingClips, a website that specializes in film clips that can be used in sermons and the like.

You can watch them all below, but be warned: they do get increasingly spoiler-ish:

‘Claims to Be the Messiah’ — in which Pontius Pilate (Peter Firth) tells Clavius (Joseph Fiennes) to finish the crucifixion of Jesus by breaking Jesus’ legs:

‘It Is Finished’ — in which Jerusalem is hit by an earthquake, and Clavius and Lucius (Tom Felton) arrive at Golgotha to find that Jesus (Cliff Curtis) is already dead:

‘Secure the Tomb’ — in which Caiaphas (Stephen Greif) asks Pilate to seal Jesus’ tomb, and Pilate orders Clavius to see that the job is done:

‘The Body Is Gone’ — in which Caiaphas explains to Pilate that the guards who were stationed at the tomb have come to him, seeking sanctuary:

‘Perhaps It’s True’ — in which Pilate and Lucius discover a letter left by Clavius after he witnesses the risen Christ and goes AWOL:

‘What Made You Follow Him?’ — in which Jesus performs a miracle during one of his Resurrection appearances to the disciples in Galilee:

A seventh clip from the film has also surfaced via the Hallmark show Home & Family, which interviewed Joseph Fiennes earlier this week.

In the clip — which starts at the 2:27 mark in the video below and lasts about 43 seconds — Clavius talks to Joseph of Arimathea (Antonio Gil) at the empty tomb and tells Lucius the image on the shroud was caused by “sweat and herbs”:

Those are all the film clips I know about, but several other videos have surfaced.

First, Fiennes was interviewed on the film’s junket by Entertainment Tonight
