The French Revolution
President Barack Obama, during an interview with Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart, spoke about his response to the Benghazi attack:
“If four Americans get killed, it’s not optimal.”
Understandably, outrage followed. The mother of an American diplomat murdered during the attack, responded by saying
“My son is not very optimal – he is also very dead.”

UPDATE: I’d only seen edited versions, so I decided to post the full versions for everyone to see. Only after I’d posted both segments did I get to the end and saw the comment in context. David, I’m not sure if you’d agree with me, but I thought his comment was a LOT better in context. I think if my child had been the one killed, I’d be appalled that the President was ON Comedy Central discussing it. Nevertheless, the whole controversy does seem contrived…
