April Fools’

April Fools’

Today is April Fools’ Day, so be forewarned. In honor of the day, here is a link to that most useful site for exposing hoaxes and urban legends, Snopes.com, which has a nice article about the origins, legends, and falsehoods of All Fools.

NOTA BENE: The Cranach blog will NOT pull April Fools’ jokes on you, unlike a lot of other sites. Some of what I post here MAY sound outrageous, and it is a sign of the times that it is increasingly difficult to tell the difference between reality and bad jokes, but I will never intentionally tell you a whopper. I mean, today’s posts sound like prank stories–and ridiculously bad ones at that–but they are all real. Follow the links, and they are all from pre-April reputable news sites.

If you want, however, you can use this space to tell about good pranks that you played on someone or that were played upon you. You may also tell prankish stories of your own.
