Christians around the world have been offended by the opening ceremony at the Paris Olympics, which included drag queens and voguing gays in a tableau that appeared to be a mockery of Leonardo Da Vinci's depiction of Christ at His Last Supper.  Defenders claim it's just a scene from Greek mythology.  But the very title of the performance refers to Holy Communion!

This blog encourages discussion. Comments in Patheos blogs are not nearly so obscene as in other sites because of the Disqus commenting software, with its extensive list of banned words, some of which are quite innocent. Cranach subscribers have been complaining about this, so I had a productive exchange with the Patheos editor. I reported on that, BUT MY COMMENT WAS BANNED! So I give it here for all to see.
