2 Chronicles 3: The Importance of Location

2 Chronicles 3: The Importance of Location 2013-06-10T11:23:39-04:00

“Then Solomon began to build the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David.” -2 Chronicles 3:1

Location matters to God. You live where you live for a reason. You were born were you were born for a purpose. You work in the exact location you work with a reason.

Even God’s temple was built on a location that held great significance. The place where God appeared to David would be the place where the temple would be constructed.

In our 2.0, virtual world, more people work remotely and telecommuting is often the new normal. Others commute for hours per week or fly from place to place on a regular basis. Yet our location holds great significance. If you are unsure of the significance of where God has currently placed you, ask the Lord. He often leads you to a place and then reveals why, just as he did with Abraham, Moses, and David. The location you are today is on purpose and for purpose. Ask God for insight regarding why he has you where you are today.
