“The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.” -Revelation 8:4
In the midst of much imagery and destruction, a glimpse of God’s perspective on prayer reaches out to us today. Revelation 8:4 mentions the prayers of God’s people going up before God. From God’s view, he both speaks to us and hears from us.
Prayer is not a speech we give; it is a conversation we have. There may be times when God feels distant, but he is and always will be there, listening to every word of joy, sorrow, praise, and confusion.
If you’re struggling today to hear God’s voice, remember: God hears your prayers. Continue to cry out to him. He will answer at the perfect time. He is there. He cares. He is with you always.
