What I Believe, Part 2 [Video]

▪ I believe that men and women are co-equal in God’s plan. I believe that a matriarch and patriarch are equal partners within marriage, the family, community, and Church, with commensurate and complementary responsibilities and equal abilities to influence and build the kingdom of God, with equal access to a knowledge of God and every spiritual and gift and blessing He has to offer.
▪ I believe that the true value and nature of women and womanhood as well as woman’s divine organization has been restored to the earth. The women’s organization is known as Relief Society and we believe it is the only “divinely made, divinely instituted and divinely ordained” organization of its kind in the world.
▪ I believe in striving for excellence and virtue in all things and believe in receiving as much education as we can in this life to help us to serve our families, friends, Church, communities, nation, and world.
▪ I believe in paying an honest and full tithe, or ten percent of our increase as well as other offerings to help the poor and the needy.

Bible Verse: “..Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Philippians 4:8).

Faith Quote: “I never will forget this. I went and threw myself across my daughter’s bed, and I cried and I cried and I cried and I cried, because I felt like that I had been so faithful and that there was no financial breakthrough for us. You ever have one of those days where you are tired of hearing everybody else’s testimony? But, I made a decision that day, and I think we all have to come to this point in many different areas of our life. And, as I lay across that bed and cried, when I finally got done crying I said this out loud, it was like my declaration, “God, I am going to tithe and give offerings until the day I die whether I ever see anything from it or not!” And, you know what, from that day forward we began to prosper and increase.
