What does Acts 15 speak to us today? law & idolatry in Acts, ethics pt. 6 What new Christians tradition/s commenced? Does this passage suggest that these are the only laws or ethics to be followed? If this were the case, the new tradition/s would be easy to keep, because we generally cook our meat and we look down on intercourse outside of marriage. The rule is not the only thing that the council’s decision passes on to us. The... Read more

Hello Everyone: we don’t have time for your movies I just have something I want to throw out at you. I’m getting ready to go for a little jog. It’s supposed to be a little more warmer today. I guess you guys have cold there, but you probably don’t remember what wind chill is, so I’m layered pretty good. Anyway, I don’t know who else to ask to pray about this with me but maybe my brother Bret, since he... Read more

Anyone who can and wants to dig deep enough can uncover anything about anyone in particular these days. There are major global tradeoffs going on at the moment with key agents who are on the world stage so to speak, if the news sources are offering correct information and not simply propaganda or a smoke screen. There could be exorbitant amounts of time needed to find out about some people because they’re difficult to trace. Then there is newsworthy material. Sometimes... Read more

Thalia || Rosas Is the caballero really a hobo that’s been booted from the train like all the other ones through history, or am I mixing up too many narratives? I have sheep in other pastures you know nothing of… Paraphrase from John 10 conversation Did you read the previous post? If not, here’s a snippet; as somebody who claims Nashville is a great family place says. Well, there is Trevecca to start and then Vandy has about the best baseball uniforms in college. “The economy of Ephesus in particular is built around temple marketplace wares, including the selling of trinkets as necklaces from the smiths in the region. I don’t know what you think LinkedIn is, but it’s basically a mandatory meeting place geared around building others up. It’s not geared around building others up in a Genesis 11 way, maybe not quite in an Acts 2 way either. However there is some policing that takes place if someone is trolling, or simply promoting oneself, dropping links and running. If that’s what you want going over there, then I can guarantee it’ll be a lonely place for you.... Read more

I’d really like to call everything after my first grad degree interim. Anyway, an endless glut of knowledge in the paideia or the commonweal, and it’s really nothing more than an interim. The ethics work I’ve shared thus far in the current series is “dated material” so the copyright is shared, and once it is published and has ran its course, I retain the right to print (or blog-to-publish), but it’s all interim I was going to jump into Disqus... Read more

Acts 15 is part of a larger story involving the entire Early Church. “Judaizers” come to Antioch to tell Paul, Barnabas, and the Church that they must follow the Jewish Law. So Paul and Barnabas go to Jerusalem to consult with the Apostles and presbyteries (verses 1-4). In a conversation with a lady along The Way to or from San Francisco (who is part of GTU) I find myself being questioned about this very topic. I must say at this... Read more

A brief article, repetitive video doing quite well in the analytics although not quite viral; and an afterword with some praxis or integration with the Gospel according to Matthew; and a little blurb about why Matthew? I’m not always exactly a bottom line reader. However no one is on the Disqus thread yet for this article: https://lnkd.in/g4AgJQUD The original news source is pretty good, you have to admit, not sure: https://lnkd.in/gh4W42ft Couple key takeaways from the bottom line/s and from... Read more
