Lenten Remix 5: Love in Rome

Lenten Remix 5: Love in Rome

“There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in LOVE.”

I’ve read Romans 8:1 thousands of times. Over and over, the name “Christ Jesus” cut into my flesh like a sword. I think it was because the verse was always used to condemn. If God is love and Jesus is the incarnation of God, then certainly love is a fitting substitute for the name Christ Jesus. Now, I think the verse can reach out to us in love like it was intended to the entire time.

Amen.
