Love is the Way

Love is the Way

Jesus was a man under attack.

Jesus lovingly healed a blind man and the Pharisees simply didn’t like it.

Jesus responded to them by extolling the virtues of both God and love.  Jesus declared all loves without sacrifice to be partial loves.  Jesus declares that love will never die.  Jesus states that all are children of God.   Jesus encourages them to believe in what they see happening all around them…love, miracles, and hope.

The Pharisees were enraged.  These comments fit into none of their normative boundaries and identities.  Jesus sought to push them into a queer space past their places of understanding, but the pull of the normative boundaries and identities were too much for most.  For such pushing…the Pharisees prepared to kill Jesus.  A crime of hate was brewing.

Jesus ran and declared in retreat, “I have loved you…yet now you want to kill me?”

Jesus kept on teaching in retreat and many believed that love truly is the way.
