“Ya’ll do understand that I came here a sinner and leaving a saint.”

In his final moments, Marvin Wilson wanted the room to know that he was a redeemed child of God. In the midst of a world that called him a criminal and a sinner, Wilson still found his way to God. Sometimes in the midst of a world that so desperately wants to nail us to the wall with our past mistakes, we have to push toward where we are going and not dwell on where we have been. The lesson that Wilson left us with is that all of us can be a saint if we want to. Do you want to?

I invite you to pray the last words of Marvin Wilson:

“Ya’ll do understand that I came here a sinner and leaving a saint.”

Amen.
