What I like most about Summer

Some of you live in a part of this good world of ours where the weather doesn’t change that much, so you have great weather all the time. Others of us know what the change of seasons means to our routines. What do you like most about summer? At the top of my list is getting to spend quiet time on the screened back porch. If only I could move my whole library from the basement to that porch for the whole summer! The little plant to my right is the basil plant I picked clean last night when I made Ligurian pesto (HT: John LaGrou).
