Is It Really So Simple? January 2, 2024

Simplify.

My word for 2024.

Already doing it’s work on me and it’s only day two.

Look for the simple.

Stay close to the simple.

In the simple, you will find rest.

Continue to simplify.

Your thoughts, your life, your house.

This life isn’t so complicated.

Why do I make it more difficult than it needs to be with all my drama.

Stay right here today.

In this moment.

Look at what is right in front of you.

Right inside of you.

Take the next step.

The next simple step.

Oh, it might be hard to do.

But it is simple.

A simple step to simplify.

God is love.

Love lives inside of me.

Therefore, God lives inside of me.

Simple math.

When my counselor said I need to stop looking outside of myself for validation…

I was so confused.

It has to come from somewhere.

Love comes from the outside.

Right?

God is something out there.

Out there… that I need to fight for.

Fight to get to.

Grasp for.

Strive for.

Raise my hands to.

Dream about.

Long for.

Wait for.

Believe for.

Run to.

Always reaching.

Spending my whole life reaching.

When… in fact?

It is here inside of me.

Simplify.

Rest.

Know.

Sink into.

Simply rest.

Simplify.
