Puppies

Awaited for nine weeks, born within nine hours, eight wiggly furballs stole our hearts in one moment. For eight weeks, we oohed and aahed, giggled, sighed, hugged and held them. We buried our noses in their soft fur, sniffing that sweet eau-de-puppy smell. We laughed daily, awash in the “happy hormone” that God so graciously built into our bodies. Friends who lived up to an hour away made time to visit—not to scout out a potential purchase, but just to play with the puppies.

Born June 9. Gone by August 12. Poof. (And even their new families can confirm how fast their puppy stage flew by.)

What other beautiful creations appear and disappear in moments, or perhaps days?
