NASA to Investigate UFOs

NASA to Investigate UFOs October 23, 2022

Tomorrow, NASA begins a new program of investigating Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs). However, that’s old hat. The U.S. government now prefers to identify such objects as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs).

NASA has put together a large team of illustrious, independent scientists who will examine unclassified data regarding UAPs for the next nine months. The project will end with a report that will guide future NASA study of this aerial phenomena.

The director of this study is Daniel Evans, the assistant deputy associate administrator for research at NASA’s Science Mission Directorate. He says of this program, “NASA has brought together some of the world’s leading scientists, data and artificial intelligence practitioners, aerospace safety experts, all with a specific charge, which is to tell us how to apply the full focus of science and date to UAP.”

I have blogged much about UFOs, including one series of ten posts I call “The Most Renowned UFO Incidents.” I believe “UFOs Are Angels.” Of course, I mean only those sightings which are clearly unexplainable and other-worldly. I base my view about this on the Bible. Perhaps my most interesting UFO post is “My Talk with Star Trek’s Gene Roddenberry about Aliens, God, and Sci-Fi.”

The problem with national governments and scientific communities examining UFO phenomena is that they are committed only to an explanation of UFOs that fits our natural, physical world. Thus, they rule out the possibility of UFOs being something other than extraterrestrials (ETs), such as spiritual phenomena that originates outside of our physical universe. This is the great divide between science and religion. IMO, this divide should not be so characterized, since religion is about worshipping a deity or deities. I think science should be able to accept the idea that there may be more to reality in our universe, thus reality here on earth, than only the physical.

There is a great disjunct between science and the religious beliefs of most of the world’s population. That is, one third of the world’s population professes to be Christian; one-fifth of the world’s population is Muslim; both Christians and Muslims base their faith on a sacred text. Both of these texts–the Bible and the Qu’ran–have much information about angels who have come to earth, spoken to humans beings, and sometimes made themselves visible to human, in which they always appeared human-like. These texts identify angels as spirit beings with intelligence comparable to, or greater than, that of human beings. Yet science dismisses this extremely important cultural fact as beyond the realm of science. I believe Bible prophecy, such as Daniel 8.10, indicates humans eventually will discover by scientific means that angels exist and that even heaven exists (Rev 13.6; 15.8, 11.)

I’ve recently decided that the next book in my STILL HERE series on Bible prophecy, which will be Book 5, will be about UFOs and entitled I Told Gene Roddenberry, “UFOs Are Angels.” I expect to publish it in spring next year. (See my books on amazon.com or my website kermitzarley.com.)

(For over 25 years, I lived five miles from NASA’s Johnson Space Center located south of Houston, Texas. I therefore knew several astronauts. Makes sense since I was known as “the pro from the moon” on the PGA Tour! See my bio at Kermit Zarley Blog.)
