Trump Told Zelensky, “You Have No Cards”

U.S. President Donald Trump and and his Vice President J. D. Vance spoke shamefully to Ukraine President Volodymr Zelensky last year in a televised meeting in the White House. Trump told Zelensky, “You have no cards.” He meant that President Zelensky, who was there to ask the U.S. for continued financial and military support in its unprovoked war against aggressor Russia—invading and taking its land, killing its people, and accomplishing much destruction—had no leverage whatsoever to make such a request.

Is Donald Trump a Russian Asset?

I insist that President Donald Trump has responded unfavorably to Zelensky—actually trumpeting a bald-faced lie in that meeting by accusing Ukraine 0f “starting the war”—because Donald Trump has been a Russian asset (even AI Chatbot Grok said it) groomed by the USSR’s KGB since in the late 1980s, and this continued afterwards by Russia’s intelligence. It largely due to Trump’s narcissism and thus weakness in being flattered. When Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his gathered troops on the Russia-Ukraine border to invade Ukraine on February 28, 2022, and President Donald Trump was told about it, he immediately exclaimed, “that’s genius.” Trump acts more like a admirer of the president of Russia, a former communist nation that had no democracy, than he does as the president of the greatest democracy in the world.

But now the tables are turned, and Donald Trump has no cards. That is, he started this war with Iran, which is unpopular in the U.S., over two weeks ago, and he is already begging other nations to come to the aid of the U.S. in opening the Strait of Hormuz which Iran is in the process of closing. This situation looks like a huge blunder on Trump’s part as he takes to himself much of the decision making about this war. Iran’s foreign minister has said that Iran closing the Strait will throw the world into economic disaster. This war already is the greatest disruption of the oil markets ever. Saudi Arabia’s CEO Amin Nasser of its huge oil company Aramco said of this Iran war, “While we have faced disruption in the past, this one by far is the biggest crisis the region’s oil-and-gas industry has faced.”

Why? About one fifth of all the world’s transportation of sold oil and gas moves through the Straight of Hormuz. Similarly, one fifth of all fertilizer transported by sea, which is necessary for food production, must go through the Straight. Iran has already effectively closed it mostly by supposedly laying mines. Oil tankers moored in Persian Gulf are unable to exit through the Strait to traverse oceans to their destinations.

Oil’s Price Could Skyrocket, Leading to Recession

Qatar is one of the six oil-producing Gulf nations with such moored tankers in the Persian Gulf. And Qatar’s energy minister Saad al-Kaabi recently said of this Iran-U.S.-Israeli war that Iran could “bring down the economies of the world” if this war continues only a few weeks more due to the closing of the Strait of Hormuz. He predicted the price of the barrel oil, which was $60 per barrel before this war started, would quickly escalate to $150 per barrel. He added, “There would be a chain reaction of factories that cannot supply products.”

One week into this war, President Trump accused heads of state and others as having “no guts” at sailing through the Straight with their cargoes. Yet draft dodger Trump had “no guts” to order U.S. ships to traverse the Straight either due to the fear of mines blowing up the ships. But Iran also has other methods to set these ships ablaze. Instead, he has begged other nations to send their navies to the rescue, meaning they would form a sailing ramada through the Straight with every means necessary to prevent Iran from blowing them up. The insurance companies aren’t buying Trump’s rhetoric either, saying they will not take on that risk of insuring such sailing vessels.

The Bible Says, “Pride Goes Before Destruction”

Thus, the bottom line right now is that Trump has no cards. And this is because the Bible says of such proud men as Donald Trump, “When pride comes, then comes disgrace,” and “pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 11.2; 16.18).
