Carolyn Woo of CRS on Catholic Social Teaching

Last week, I was blessed to sit in on a webinar presented by Dr. Carolyn Woo, President & CEO of Catholic Relief Services. Dr. Woo spoke at the invitation of United States Conference of Catholic Bishops on the topic, “The New Evangelization and Catholic Social Teaching.”

While watching the webinar, I was furiously taking notes and sharing some of the experience via Twitter. The following “storify” shares some of the highlights of Dr. Woo’s presentation. I have to say that every time I have the opportunity to hear her speak, I am struck by her optimism, grace and positivity. For someone who spends the majority of her waking hours dealing with poverty, crises and those in need, Dr. Woo exudes a sense of compassion and joy that is positively infectious.
