It’s perhaps telling that I haven’t managed to get a Small Success Thursday post up the past few weeks. Life has been awesome, but has also felt like a bit of a “gobbledygook”. I know that’s not a real word, but it fits the way life has felt the past few weeks: confusing, chaotic, and downright awesome. And anything but normal.
I’m not going to go into detail. I’m just going to go ahead and share my “small successes” for this week and point you to CatholicMom.com, where you can join us in the sandbox! My small successes this week included:
- Attended a retreat on Saturday. Hosted by Allison Gingras of Reconciled to You ministries, the day was a true blessing. From a lovely drive out into the country (or wherever we were) to praying in the “real world” with online friends to receiving the sacrament of reconciliation, the day was an exercise in joy. I spend so much time teaching and speaking that being on the receiving end of spiritual development is a true blessing. Thank you Allison, Alexis, Tanya, Pat, Susan, Joanne, Tricia and everyone else I was able to meet. And thanks God, for the snow!
- Got started on my next book project. In a total change of pace, I am now at work on two children’s novels. Wow, what a difference. I’ve spent the week researching and imagining. I can wait to unveil this project with you in the upcoming week.
- Steps. I’m getting them in. And I wrote a brief introductory review of my new Fitbit here, in case you’re interested.
